Well, Hello Belly Button

It took almost 4 weeks, but she finally decided on an innie.

Just for all you OU fans. . . don't worry she now has a flower/bow that matches so she doesn't look so much like a boy.

Quilt

I started this quilt in mid Sep with a group of girls from church. We had a great teacher/leader, Beth, who taught us all how to make a quilt. It's my first one and I love it. I actually made two of them one for Noelle and one for my cousins little baby who has yet to arrive. The fabic with the little animals I found at my Grandma Betty's house. We are not sure what grandma was going to use this fabric for, but I think it looks great in a baby quilt. I finished it right before Noelle was born. Would have had it done earlier, but moving at 9 months prego kinda takes over . . . we still are not completely settled in. . . just a few deco things to figure out.

Growin so fast.

I love that we got these pics. The first is from the day we brought her home. The second is at two weeks. . . I can't belive how much she has grown. She almost didn't fit in this outfit.

Feeling the Joy of Pregnancy

So we have been taking this awsome parenting class that is offered on base for first time military parents. We have a great woman who has volunteered her time to give us a real life heads up to what being mom and dad is really like. We have learned everything from infant CPR and child safety to what you really should register for and what is just a waste of money, how to try to keep baby happy and mom and dad sane, the actual labor process (Brad was a little shocked to find out that is usually last about 12 hours or more. . . he was thinking it was 3-4 hours tops, funny I know), what you need at the hospital, breatfeeding vs formula, budgeting for baby, and all sorts of fun stuff.

However last night was my favorite. . . . Brad got to feel what it is like to be nine months prego. He wore the emapthy belly for 30min and best of all . . . this was the night we got to practice on real babies. Things like bathing, dressing, changing diapers, and swaddling were all part of the class. Brad got to enjoy all these tasks while feeling like he was nine months along. He biggest complaint . . . "IT'S SO HOT, there is not way it's this hot" He just kept saying it over and over again. The reason. . . the belly is filled with hot water and there are two cannon balls placed in it to replicate the baby moving and pushing on your ribs. It was too fun to watch he get up, lie down, bend over to pick up something on the floor. Just thought you might like to enjoy the fun as much as me.

Now if only labor was as easy as it was for Brad to take off that belly. . .

A little Pink

Ok, so I have not be good at all at keeping this updated. There are so many pics and things that I think. . . I want to put that on our blog, but it never happens. I need to get better at uploading photos it's just not as easy as I want it to be.

Anyway I just wanted to let everyone know that we are having a baby girl!!! We are way excited yet I am a little nervous about having a girly girl.

We have a few names in mind, but with Brad being the youngest and the last with children we have to keep in mind all the Taylor girls out there.
